UPCMLD Library Assays - Biological Data

• The Lazo/Vogt lab at the UP Medical School evaluates all UPCMLD compounds for antiproliferative activity against human PC3 prostate cancer cells.
  This initial screening assay is conducted in triplicate at one concentration (30 or 50 μM). Paclitaxel is used as a positive control
• Any compound that causes >50% growth inhibition is evaluated to determine an IC50 value with PC-3 cells and examined with at least two other cell lines (human MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells and human nonmalignant fibroblasts).
